First of all, that's a lot of fycking words on your post for a Friday. I'll try to summarize my response:
1. People don't media and corporations for propaganda for one reason. It works. If people blamed the sources the messages wouldn't be as effective.
2. Most people don't blame corporate donors cause they don't know who they are. People normally could name one or two when there are thousands.

"The voters are stupid" are something I've heard smug white liberals say yet they don't find a way to bridge the gap. Too many ideologues on the left with no room for nuanced pragmatism.

The reason the people who didn't vote don't care is because they had nothing to lose because they were never heard to begin with.

The Dems should be held accountable for not pushing through The John Lewis Voting Right Act after they got the Senate and House in 2020. That should've been the very first legislation to get passed, especially after Kemp sign that Voting restriction bill in Georgia after Warnock & Ossoff won. That along with other states following, even on a local level lead to 3 million votes being purged.


But that's not the only reason they lost, The Right Wing Mainstream Media and Social Media controlled the narrative with misinformation, disinformation, and culture wars talking points.

This is so silly. Why do you refuse to acknowledge the billions in free media Trump got from mainstream outlets, independent media, and so-called citizen journalists? You can't buy that kind of publicity. Elon Musk literally turned Twitter into Trump HQ, while Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube were flooded with his propaganda. And algorithms that pushed his content to the top. Trump didn't need to spend big because he was getting wall-to-wall coverage for free. Your analysis isn't really worth much if you can't acknowledge this simple point.

It's been a herculean effort for me to de-alt right my social media/youtube but I managed to do it and even then I'm still flooded with right wing content. I don't know the breakdown of how the Dems spent but I would wager not enough ad budget was allocated to short form content. Anyway the main area where they faltered is influencers. They should've been trying to get some big influencers/podcaster in their corner years ago when they saw what type of time Joe Rogan was on. They were buying a bunch of paid ads on streaming, TV and the internet like it was 2011. That couldve made a huge difference with Meta, twitter was a done deal as soon as Musk finalized that acquisition

Here's a prime example of the thread title/OP. Trump didn't necessarily win...it's more like democrats lost; lost the entire country because people suffered for too long then they pushed out a candidate that didn't tell anybody how she was going to fix that suffering. All people knew is that they couldn't continue to live the way democrats were running the country.
