What use is having 2,000 F-35's if you have no overseas platform to launch them from? You gonna fuel and repair/depot everything on the ship too? You can't put them all on carriers either.



And I guess you don't need ground forces of any type to act as QRF, provide supplies, generate intel, or provide casualty care in theater either.

In other words.. The TRILLIONS saved from not running overseas bases, could go towards keeping THIS country safer. You'd still have the troops, on reserve, the fukk at home. You'd still have all the same technology at home. You'd have reserves, you'd have supplies, you'd have everything you needed AT HOME. Like literally every other country in the world. This would lead to us not needed to spend as much to get the same results
