It's crazy how the same discussions are being had here in the UK. The working man that's grinded to the point that he can own 2-3 rental properties isn't the reason why there's a housing crisis. It's the corporations/oligarchs that are buying up land in bulk (over market value) and the trickle down economics from it that is causing rent and property value to rise at an artificial and unsustainable rate. Capping individuals (and small businesses) from owning properties isn't going to stop the government from selling off land to corporations so they can build overpriced and badly made apartment complexes with only a small amount of units being allocated to social housing.

As a homeowner that intends to save up for a rental property, why should I be prevented from increasing my wealth when the government allows people lifetimes richer than me to utilise every loophole under the sun?
