Why is it legal? Lets say your parents have a home they slaved all their damn life to pay off.. Hopefully you ain't living there at 45, cause you bought your own damn house.. They die... You supposed to either give away/sell the house you grew up in, that they paid for, to give to you.... Or sell off your house you still paying on, in order to live in the one home you're allowed to.....

And then what about your kids? What if you die when they're 25? What if they don't want your house? What if you die when they're 2? They gotta live in that same house until they are 18?

What if you own 100 acres? What if it's for a purpose like a farm? Should you only be allowed one house on the farm? Who should be allowed to have farms if that's the only way to have multiple houses cause there's a land law too... Cause how can you regulate one house if I can own unlimited land... Who gets to pick the prime land? What if you just don't get married so you each can have a house but really you are together? How many kids will rich people give money to, to buy houses in their name, so they can own more than one... How much land does a corporation get? Amazon has a lot of land that could be used for housing.. Why does McDonalds get to own so much land but I can only own 10 acres....

But I think there should be laws restricting people from having monopolies in certain locations. We are seeing this with corporations.. Major corporations nowadays have bought out and acquired major companies in certain niche categories.

i just went to zillow and put in chester pa and baltimore md and sort from lowest to highest and it was hundreds of properties under $100K, many that need work for under 50k in baltimore which is a "major" city in fact
