Why is it legal for A singular person to own multiple homes?

There needs to be caps on personal ownership of real estate. Absolutely no reason for neighborhood after neighborhood of *nearly empty houses.

Simply don't allow the purchase of more than one private home and one private business per American citizen. Then raffle the sales of the rest to everyone including foreign money
Allowing corporations, rich people and foreign interests to buy everything is what's behind these insane prices. Americans are going homeless in their own country it must be stopped.

There needs to be tighter laws on owning homes for the purpose of renting them out. I’ve seen a few cats in this economy go belly up and take 5-6 families with them. Seen a couple folks sell houses right from underneath tenants too
