Class of 2012 here.

Half my class either engaged, already married, or have kids.

Someone I know from grade 8 got held back like 3 times and when I saw her a few years back she had one of those strollers that hold 2 babies, and was pregnant with a 3rd.

Let em live their lives but damn it's only been a few years and everyone already settling down

Dude you just answered your own question :beli: also those are the traditional/old school ages for marriage and kids

I wanna see their savings account, their investments, and their overall lifestyle for having kids at such a young age. That's the #1 way to stay broke in the 21st century. And people treat kids as an afterthought in this club/YOLO/FOMO culture today.

:francis: so lemmi get this straight you think having children or married at 21-25 and being in a relationship with her children's father is loser shyt?

Dog, you don't know shyt about life.

I know plenty of career oriented bw who had abortions early on, broke off engagements early on only to hit 30 and regret solely focusing on making a great salary.

Many women had abortions only to find later their chances of having kids are slim to none.

If being a mother or father or married at 22 is what people want to do, who are you to feel any type of way:stopitslime:

On the contrary what I do see in the future is a lot of educated black people becoming so self absorbed, career focused thinking they deserve the hottest girl or most successful guy to the point they never actually get married or have children.

And when they do its close to or over 40

- this is coming from someone who works a corporate job, sees career focused bm/bw who won't settle for relationships or children but settle for fukking their coworkers and bosses, thinking theyre the shyt cause their paycheck is popping.

I'm convinced this is how broken families are created in the black community. I guess I'm so upset because a couple months ago this could've been me (I was going raw in my girl even when she wasn't on the pill). I was on some loser ass shyt breh.:snoop:
it’s def a big reason why our communities are so fukked up

If I ever have kids I want to be able to occasionally spoil them and have them not want for anything. This can be done if you choose to have kids at say 30-35. You won't be struggling and you'd likely have a career established. Even with a degree and a well-paying job straight out of college (which is unlikely at 21 in this climate. These women were working 9-5 deadends or single), that's close to impossible. No one is saying they shouldn't have kids but if you can't provide for everything they're going to need without struggling, you shouldn't have kids. More stress, less money. But if you want to struggle providing for kids you shouldn't have had so young then by all means. :yeshrug:
