90% of Rap nowadays is soft as shyt. I on all these rappers. They're all soft. But the vast majority of them are soft rappers who act hard and are wack as shyt,.

Drake is soft as hell, has no pretensions, makes soft music and does it in a dope ass way.

I agree with pretty much everything but the bolded. All that being said, I still think the music is subpar. And I think he does have some pretensions, just of a different kind. I do think 40 makes some good beats, though.

I don't know man, to me he's dope...it took like 5-6 tracks in a row, hit after hit, for me to finally acknowledge that he has talent

Again it's not my ideal cup of tea, I'd rather listen to Mitchy Slick, but his rapping/harmonizing is dope, the content is whatever...but he does what he does well

This Is coming from a dude that doesn't have a single drake track in my iPod, I just YouTube the occasional joint

And at the end of the day, he's from my city...I gotta hold him down
