It doesn't bother me. I just think he was a poor choice. Strength of schedule has propped him up and given him unreal expectations. The Panthers were never going to win the Super Bowl. You all set him up for failure. It was unfair of this forum and the masses to put so much pressure on him.
But how do you know Carolina won't win the Super Bowl? & I don't understand what you're getting at with the unfairness and pressure stuff. Cam's performance on the field has earned these types of expectations.
There really shouldn't be a singular icon for black excellence and it's never been exclusive to one person. The entire point is to celebrate and acknowledge whenever a black athlete who receives his fair share of unjust criticism has a break out performance and silences his critics. Cam has long been one of the most bashed players in the league, so when he succeeds you'll see a larger response as opposed to Wilson & Tomlin who aren't nearly as polarizing.
