Why is Big Pun so overlooked within Hip Hop?

Been listening to some Pun this week, to keep it simple dude was a monster and dropped a crazy amount of heat in a small window. Feel like his couple commercial hits still well known and get play but yeah the deep cuts should get more love.

Didn't have the production and promotion Big had and didn't have the work ethic and universal translation in his music Pac had.

Im not talking about in terms of being in someone’s top 5 or even top 10 list but more so in terms of being mentioned and cited as an influence within Hip Hop altogether.

Admittedly he did had a bad rep as a person but he was still a very great lyricist and he was quite mainstream (his first album reached platinum) before he died. :yeshrug:

His entire team that is supposed tobe working together are at war with each other that’s why.

Come on now
Dude was elite, but he was only in the game for like 2 seconds and then he died, how much of a profile was he supposed to have in the long run?
Also he punched in every two bars, its not like you can put him above G Rap really
