They started the slick subliminal shyt first with the marketing. They tried to phase his shyt out and assert their show over his, so he's playing dirty. Can't hate on that:manny:

Genius marketing.

I think 50 learned something in the mid 2000s from the big corps - you play to your strength in marketing regardless of what the public says, as long as your product sells.

50 is and will always be the bad guy. You think producers and other actors at Empre and Power aren't saying the same things behind the scenes? But you have to play this fake unity role.

It's like 50 is a hired gun, he will take all the bullets, hate, fake and real beef, etc, but at the end of the day - you will not forget about Effen Vodka, you won't forget about Power.

Power doesn't come back until SUMMER 2016. But we will mention it every single day Empire airs because 50 has now made Power vs Empire a thing. If you don't believe me, search twitter for the word Power while Empire is on. It's genius, but can only be carried out by someone who isn't bound to corporate or actor restrictions.

He never gets over the top disrespectful - just enough to make some people laugh and some people mad. People are forced to mention him and his product, but they can't dismiss him because he isn't a nobody. Puffy had to answer 10 minutes of Effen questions at his Breakfast club interview because of 50 - and if 50 just promoted the brand, or didn't start a beef, nobody would give a hell about Effen.

Same for Power. I never watched but saw Empire blowing up, heard people debating the Power thing, researched and watched Power and got hooked on a good show.

I guess I think differently because I see the behind the scenes of a lot of industries. (For example those Fox News and CnN debates, I know some of the people and when they camera goes off, they hang out, or laugh about how they pretend to be republicans to get booked on more shows and sh*t like that - I'm telling you, TV is a big game.)

:scust: I regret stanning this fukker as a youth.

All this empire slander, and for what? Two successful ethnic shows and it's a problem?

I don't even fukk with empire but I can't help but be happy for the success. It will only lead to more roles for black filmmakers and actors, same thing with power. But the constant hate makes him look childish, guarantee the execs at Power are sitting around with the :snoop: face.

Power better kill him off by next season or it won't last. mark my words.

:childplease:

Empire is garbage..

I think I like your reasoning better.

They never threw subliminals, cause there posters looked similar, who cares, shyt happens in film all the time. These two shows ain't even about the same damn thing, like there's literally no competition, they're not even on during the same seasons, and they share the same fan base, they both can eat well, and they have been. I'm just saying how long can he keep up the hate for the show before starz throws him to the bushes.

But that formula didn't work out in the end in Rap, and it's damn sure not gonna work here in Film?television.
Didn't work for rap? He built his career out of dissing other rappers. One of his early songs 'How To Rob' was a full track dissing/hating on other rapers. 20mil+ album sales later, I'd say it worked.
