Sadly, I don't see black women defending black men at all. Showing sympathy for Trayvon doesn't constitute defending black men. Defending black men would be standing up against police brutality and the prison industrial complex as a whole. Out of all the little black women empowerment movements out here. Which one's see prison industrial complex that's railroading black men into modern day slavery as a priority? Hell defending black men could be something as simple as calling black women like the author of this article and those who agree out. You can't even do that without deflecting the criticism right back on to black men. The feelings expressed in this article aren't anything new. I heard rumblings that sounded just like this when the Trayvon and Jena 6 stories first broke.
No hate...but somewhere in the deep dark trenches of the black woman's minds...they honestly think that they are "loyal" and lead revolutions in the black community and talk as if their "support" or lack there of would thwart any progress black men are men in addressing in social injustices. They are completely delusional
