Imma invest 1,000 in Bank of America come this Tuesday

It's at 12 dollars a share and will only go up

I missed Citigroup at 2 dollars a share cuz I was broke and its at 40 dollars a share now. I would have made 14,000. I won't miss out with Bank of America

Do you even know what a P/E ratio is? :usure:

:youngsabo: what is it?

Price-to-earnings ratio. Basically, a stock can trade at 2 bucks a share, but if it's earning 2 cents a share in a year, it's expensive versus the market as a whole and likely dogshyt.

On the flip side, you can have a company that trades at $100k+ but earns 10K plus a share in a year and would be considered cheap versus the market as a whole coz it's PE ratio is low (100,000 divided by 10,000 equals a P/E of10) versus market P/E of 17ish.

Share price is irrelevant without context.
