Before any of these docs. the entertainment industry and women's groups gave Oprah a pass for her involvment with/silence about Harvey Weinstein.

Oprah is notorious about vetting any and everybody she affiliates her self with, even indirectly.
She got burned by a fraud writer years ago after she promoted his book on her show. She does even more digging and researching since then.

When she started working with Harvey Weinstein, there is NO way that she didn't know about his reputation, allegations, lawsuits,etc
She CHOSE to work with him anyway despite (allegedly) being an advocate for victims of sexual abuse.

It's not in any professional writer's best interest to point these things and call her out, but it's true. She got a standing ovation after delivering some speech about ME TOO, and I thought wow, she's getting a pass.
