He's just not.
You`ll see, Lucha wrestlers don't get that type of love in America. We may like them but no one puts them up in the top 5/10 area.
Also, he had no mic skills. He was horrendous on the microphone and never cut a good promo in his entire career.
These are the 2 biggest reasons to me. Great performer though

Rey Rey is one of my all time fav WCW performers. His early days in WWE are great too. I think people hate on him because he overstayed his welcome once his nagging injuries started to slow him down. He doesn't have any mic ability to carry him.
