Why dont they use aluminum bats in the MLB

A little while back I was thinking about making a thread asking how many players per season would die if they used aluminum bats in the Majors, but figured it'd be in bad taste. They'd have to have something in front of the pitcher. shyt would be terrifying.

aluminum is far more elastic. balls bounce off that biitch and lose less energy on collision.

therefore the mass of the bat just isnt that relevant, plus the velocity component contributes far more to velocity of center of mass after the collision...

Everything everyone said plus it would be easier for folks to hit home runs. You see College and HS made people use the new aluminum bats that have less pop in them and the scoring went down. Those regular aluminum bats you can send the ball just by check swinging..its too easy.
