A little town called none ya got damn bidness
I think nobody cared because the greenies just helped you get amped for the game and give you energy, they didnt give you the ability to hit 50 homers when your career average was 15.

My point is greenies were something illegal to give you a boost just like roids. Roids boost is greater than greenies but both are illegal and help you. If you gonna say the present game is dirty for illegal performance enhancers then the same should be said for past eras as well. Its just hilarious how the media chooses when to selectively take the moral high ground.

How about past players like Willie fukkin Mays and Bob fukkin Gibson among others saying they would have tried steriods if they had been available to them. It's blatant hypocrisy plain and simple. The same cats calling guys thugs when they get in trouble or get caught with drugs or DUIs or associating with "the wrong element" now, worship Ruth's barfighting ass and Mantle's lush ass or DiMaggio's connected with the mob ass. If you try to apply logic to the shyt you head will explode.

You're thinking about Willie Mays Aikens from the pirates, not the actual willie mays. Or show me proof.

The bottom line is that the "steroid era" outrage was always about Barry Bonds.

When they found Androsteindione in Mark McGwire's locker, only a few people said shyt or even really gave a fukk.

They knew for years about Canseco, McGwire, Jeff Bagwell and a ton of other guys who were taking roids.

It wasn't until Bonds, a guy they hated because he was a "nikka With Attitude", was about to pass Babe Ruth did it even become an issue.

Remember "the ball is juiced" era of 1993/94?

Yeah, I'm sure none of the media knew about roids, please.

If Bonds had quit at around 680 HRs or so, it still wouldn't be a big issue.

Even by the media's standpoint, Bonds was LATE to the steroid party. He wasn't even in the first decade of it.

He was a guy who even by the media's standard hit his first 500 or so home runs clean.

It wasn't until THEY covered up for McGwire, Sosa, and everybody else did he say fukk it.

Now, this is the media's account of his usage, so why make him the all-time villain?

He was always a better baseball player than everyone else. When he was skinny with the box haircut he was better than everyone else. Ken Griffey Jr. was the only guy in the same league as him, so why act like steroids made him.

Meanwhile, look how long it took them to finally acknowledge Roger Clemens, who had fallen off for YEARS only to reemerge in Toronto and with the Yankees as a "new man".

He was called out by Jason Grimsley and the media villified Jason Grimsley, but they listened to Bonds' ex-girlfriend who posed in Playboy and made her into the paragon of virtue, when she admitted she had an axe to grind.

Same thing with Lance Armstrong.

Everybody Lance Armstrong's ever met has said the guy's on steroids. Short of his own mother.

Every teammate, every trainer, ever competitor have all said the guy's juiced and only now are the media even STARTING 5 years after the guy retired to start to show signs of believing it.

An entire continent of people knew the guy was doping and the White media chalked it up to "the Europeans being jealous of him", yet they couldn't wait to get the lynch mob out for Bonds.

fukk Bob Costas and those baseball holy grail ass motherfukkers.

Really?

Have you seen somebody hopped on amphetamines fight the police?

Yes, I'm sure that amphetamines did nothing to help anybody

while race no doubt played a factor in vilifying bonds, it was also that he was the only one on pace to capture the HR record.

US media don't give a fukk about the sanctity of the tour de france. they care deeply about the career home run record, though

:manny: just saying. i agree with you for the most part

also when has lance tested positive? barry actually admitted to doing it unknowingly

and amphetamines in a baseball game are gonna help you in base running and tracking down fly balls. i've done my share and i think playing at 2nd base would actually be harder, you'd be jumping to move instead of playing in position. same with hitting. so nah i'm not buying that it's equivalent to HGH and such. what it does mean is that these baseball legends were/are human, which like many of you have rightly pointed out, costas and the like refuse to believe.
