The skelic index of Asians and Europeans is typically higher than in Africans. (The length of torso in relation to the length of limbs). Or in other words cacs and asians got relatively shorter legs and shorter arms even if they the same height as a Black man. Having a high skelic index helps in certain sports and and having a low skelic index helps in other sports. It's all about leverage. Gymnists benefit from shorter limbs. Runners benefit from longer ones. A white dude or asian can still have long limbs like a black man and a black man can still have short limbs like a white dude or asian but the frequency is just higher that it will be the other way around, thus you see more Blackletes dominating events where longer limbs benefit and you see more Asians and White people competing in events where longer torso benefits more.

To the point of the topic the reason you dont see a lot of African countries in it is because gymnastics also takes a lot of money to support. It takes years of long training to get someone to be able to work a balance beam or uneven bars.
