So it's okay to talk down on countries who are not important? that makes it even worse.Obama has spoken out on human rights to NUMEROUS countries though. This is a very reactionary and wrong thread. A few google searches guys. Come on now. As far as Saudi Arabia, he has mentioned it also but also pointed out that it's tough to have their help in trying to stabilize that region against threats while talking down to the leaders of the country that is a major ally and staging area for military operations.

I don't think it has shyt to do with the being Black. It's a power dynamic. Saudi Arabia holds too much leverage because of how much we need their help because of how fukked up shyt is in the region. Kenya doesn't have much leverage, so he feels he can say what he wants to them.
It's how people in power operate. They talk down to everyone unless they need their vote, their money, or their help.
As far as the gay stuff goes though, I assume he's not talking about marriage? Gay people in Africa care about gay rights because they're worried about getting beaten up and killed and imprisoned and shyt, not because they want to get married. And that sort of inhuman shyt is at least worth a shout-out.
Africa as a whole has way more riches than Saudi Arabia. Not even comparable. Sure there is corruption like in any country but it is a common racist misconception that it is the main reason why the contitnent is struggling. You misunderstand the point of Bringing back the Billions if you think the author is trying to say that illegal capital flight is the number 1 problem facing African breh. Corruption of law enforcement and government officials, and a lack of ability to enforce the law is pretty much the number 1 reason why illegal capital flight happens on a bigger scale in Africa then in America. Think about the systems in place for monitoring, assessing, and collecting taxes, and think about why medium business owners (150 to 1000 employees in Kenya) in Kenya illegally get their money to the Swiss and the cayman islands, while similarly sized companies in America are not conducting illegal overseas money laundering and tax evasion operations.

Foreign and Domestic relations is chess not checkers. The president can't just go in on those who set oil prices -- especially when he needs their assistance in fighting terror. The president can't go on TV and condemn ALL the police (see Bill DeBlasio) if he wants to push anything else on his agenda. It needs to be a grassroots movement -- the will of the people. Sort of what we're experiencing now and he can work his back channels and he can get behind it. But he'd be pretty ineffective leader if he tried to take on the white supremacist power structure all by himself. In fact, the most effective presidents learned to work well with everyone.
Let me not even get started on the fact that we all learned in middle school civics class that the president cannot write, pass, and enforce laws by himself. He's a president, not a military dictator.
