To be real most folks do the absolute bare minimum to get by. The difference is in the real world there are usually checks and balances that hold people accountable for what they do or don't do. Either they don't last (fired, not picked back up, etc) or are not rewarded (raises, promotions, etc.) when they aren't performing, which is motivation to do better.

To me, it feels like it's more of a case of him not being required to do shyt rather than him refusing. Every appearance it feels like they say "here's 100k, go stand in the ring behind Paul" and he's like as long as the check clears. That falls completely on the E.
