Yes, Aaliyah did dance. Cassie didn't dance, she struck model poses (and could barely do that half the time, I can't believe she actually wanted an actress career at some point). She just looked good buttnekkid under her clothes, and that was enough And yes, Jhene has that casting couch/mattress audition vibe.
