but rt, rihanna can't sing but has a pretty distinctive voice/style of singing. She makes it work. Kinda of how M.I.A. can't sing at all but her voice has that natural charisma.

Rihanna makes it work though. I'm not mad at that.

The over emphasis on looks has had the biggest negative effects on RnB - specifically the black ladies.

If a song that can move units must be sung by someone young, with real chops - they'll be white. Amy Winehouse, Adele etc. there's sisters out there with more talent and equally as unattractive but they aint getting that position anymore.
