Cause multi-millionaires don't buy homes with intent to live in them forever, they switch houses every 1-5 years, and during that time they are traveling all the time, and or have multiple homes they rotate throughout the year.

I watched a documentary about real billionaires everyday life, them nikkas don't be at home like regular people.

:stopitslime:

I Could tell enough stories ,,,,but my moms cousin was in the oil business , and from the 70s ... anyway mansions big houses are whatever , reason being that up until fairly recently anyone who was remotely successful the first thing they would do would be to build the biggest mansion possible ..

anyway my uncle had a fukking compound , i kid you not .... we used to go there as kids .... first there was the main house which was completely circular, then he had a mosque and a chapel .... the kids had their own two story house , and the first time we visited i must have been about eight , my cousin was 10 his sister eight , there were two guest house and some houses for the servants , swimming pools , football pitch , he had acres ..... from the main gate to the main house must have been about half a mile and when we were kids we used to love visiting our cousins ...

my parents among other things have properties , i remember finding out they owned a property 3 times bigger than our family house , im remonstrating with my Dad that why dont we live in that house and he looks at me like im mad , Ive only got five children and you dont even live here most of the time so what sense does it make .... I didnt get it

fast forward thirty odd years when I make the odd visit to my uncle its a fukking joke , he only had two kids and obviously they are married and live elsewhere , so its him my auntie and servants , and the place looks fukking depressing and all I think is what the fukk were you thinking .... its depressing as fukk

we visited a friend of my dad that buit some 20 bedroom monstrosity in the 80s and about half the rooms we looked in he kept on saying "i havent entered this room in five years" and its a pattern i see over and over again because eventually your kids will move out and in Nigeria just like other parts of Africa and Asia you have a Family house which means people generally dont downsize , because its seen as you have built your house for generations to come after you ....

And i get it , you have money you build a big mansion , put in a pool that you will hardly ever use , but this is what we work for the big house etc ... and it makes sense when you are young , but one day you are going to be retired , kids left home and you are sitting in some big fukking joke of a house that you cant sell , because those big houses are going out of style, they are too expensive and the upkeep is costly

A big house with space is nice , but a mansion ? to fill it up im going to have to put stupid shyt in there to justify having one ... oh this is my cinema room, my games room, this is my office ... this is the room where i keep my cufflink collection ... either that or have more kids than Eddie Murphy

They are souless
