Homosexuals are here to stay breh, we just have to accept it, their lifestyle choice isn't hetero's in anyway.

This is something i understand i appreciate this post. I think the problem is when individuals try to tell me that because there is so much of it going on that its something that should be celebrated or something that someone should be proud of.

I disagree. Homosexuality is a deviation from normalized behavior, so to say that the mere idea that people might recoil from homosexual acts or behavior is homophobia in itself is a bit strong. Thats not to be confused with actual homophobia, which prides itself on hatred and demonization of not only the acts or behavior, but the people themselves and their rights as human beings.

Its complicated. Ive always been sympathetic to gay rights once I progressed beyond grade school immaturity, but I'd be lying if I said that I was even remotely comfortable with being around homosexuals, or condoning their behavior around my person until very recently. Before then I was pretty intolerant, but after exposure to gay people you realize universal truths about respecting humanity that you knew all along, but couldnt articulate until you actually gained personal experience with the group that inspires discomfort.

As a society we're progressing. Myself included.

the media, and powers that be, have successfully made the homosexual topic the issue of the public, in turn making issues like healthcare, unemployment, continued poor school systems, hundreds to thousands of murders, and more important matters get placed on the back burner to take the responsibility from government and community leaders out of they hands.

like really in chicago its murders and violence all over the place, the city is about to close hundreds of schools, the funding for schooling is still waay behind national standards, but groups of ministers are coming to together about laws on same sex marriage. this is insanity and horrible in the grand scheme of things.

that is my real issue. questions like whats being asked are silly to me. who cares. i mean really who cares?

gays are talked about just like fat people are talked about, just like really skinny people are talked about, just like too dark skinned people are talked about, just like too light skinned people are talked about, just like short people are talked about, tall people are talked about, but for whatever reason media and those who want to use the gay issue to back burn really important issues, treat the treatment of gays as if its some special mistreatment towards them, when we can look at movies and tv shows and media and everything is people standing up for them meanwhile i dont remember a gay person getting the james craig anderson treatment. i cant recall a group of gays being left deserted after a hurricane. i dont recall a gay person being shot for reaching for his wallet or driving to the store after his wedding reception. i dont remember people hanging a noose on trees toward the gays. im really getting disgusted at this overwhelming support for gay people especially when so many more blatantly disrespectful racist unequal matters are taking place towards blacks and mexicans/puerto ricans and hollywood going crazy for gay people to get married.
