It's disturbing, and generally happens with the younger female characters not as much with male characters. If Hollyweird has no problem casting fully black men then they should do the same for fully black women. This even happens in media run by black people.

Maybe with Crosby it is a reflection of what his immediate family actually looks like. I used to watch this show some time ago, when i was living in Australia.

For the Chris Rock movie: I guarantee if the white daughter in law was black, his son in the movie would be too. Hollywood doesn't like showing dark skinned brehs with WW unless the relationship is completely dysfunctional or its the whole focus of the movie.

As for Cosby: the man who played his dad Earle Hyman, is only 10 yrs older than Cosby and he's pretty light skinned. Cosby was a bit darker than both parents and seemed wayyyy too old to be their kid.
