Shyt is weird to me.

Sada Baby & Drego - Bloxk Party

Team Eastside Peezy - I'm Good PT 3

Cash Kidd - On My Mama

When did Detroit start making hip-hop like this and who was the first person to do it?
:jbhmm:

That's how Detroit music always sounded its just an updated version

even Blade Ice Wood shyt sound like the bay, its because of the beats, the beats were always similiar

as far as te rapping, the bay nikkaz do not rap like detroit nikkaz, don't see the comparison

trick trick made this beat back in the day

rap pattern always been the same

another old ass detroit shyt

the beats was always the same as the bay

your stars are but dust on my shoes
Bay Area music has a long history of being popular throughout the Midwest. Collaboration between the regions started in the 90s, and indeed if you listen to music from the midwest and the bay, you'll see that there's a lot of overlap in their uses of samples. I don't think this is either region trying to bite another, but rather just a natural development that has led to a unity and exchange between the two scenes.

There's more similarities now, which I guess is to be expected with the internet making it easier to listen to music from every city now.

Yatta, Cash Kidd, Pablo Skywalkin, SOB RBE, Bandgang, NhT Boyz. I hear a lot of Eastside 80s and HD in these newer rappers.

Midwest people love Cali music because we talk the same (except Chi they have their own accent)

black people from Indianapolis talk just like people from California. Bay Area rap is my favorite kind of rap music.

now people here just listen to whoever is hot in the south but me personally i feel like i can relate to Bay Area rap the most. i think Bay rappers are the best.

Not all Detroit rappers sound alike or have that sound. Royce 5-9, Snap Dogg, Elzhi, Black Milk, etc all got different sounds. Philthy Rich from Oakland says Detroit is his favorite city chill at though. Detroit is its own thing and not like the other midwest cities though and in a way I don't like it when people group the whole midwest region together. Detroit aint like St. Louis, Chicago, Ohio, Indiana, etc. My boys cousin was out here several years ago from St. Louis and was tellin us how different the vibe was out this way.
