I haven't experienced ANY rappers run's other than the current rappers. I didn't even think about whether Big L had an impact or not, I was talking about his skill as an MC
I understand.

If you look at the dynamic between an entertainer and his fans the same way you see the dynamic between a man and his woman, you'll understand the way fans relate to entertainers alot better.

Cause if it makes no sense for cats to hate on him based on his skills, that alone should tell you the hate isn't based on skills, so it's some other reason. Cause hiphop fans will shyt on an artist for something, then love another artist for doing the same shyt, and rationalize the contradiction. What does that remind you of

That's why I was speaking on the run, being around and witnessing the run... it's an emotional experience that ties you to a rapper. The ones that lack that emotional experience, whether it's due to being in a different space or a different time period, judge the artist more harshly...

L needed more of a catalog to be included in more topics of discussion. He was another good MC that got taken out too early.
Explain Biggie constantly making top 5-10 lists when they both only have two albums

L was a BEAST :wow:

He was a beast at punchlines, metaphors, multis and storytelling. He had a dope voice and a great flow he could double time with ease.

His skillset is one of my favorites. He just doesn't have enough music, Lifestyles ov da Poor & Dangerous was dope though. I could only imagine him on the Roc over soulful Kanye beats in the early 00's.

I have L in my top 25...

@SJUGrad13 it's not that you have a low standard but you have a complete lack of understanding of the prerequisites of rankings and thus you have absolutely no credibility. You shouldn't be making any top 5 unless you're talking about your top 5 FAVORITE

First off faq, I did say my top 5. You need to work on your reading comprehension ( it's very poor BTW) and secondly get my dikk out your mouth. Have a good night.

You said your top 5 . . you didn't say your top 5 favorite. Then you proceed to jump into premature conclusions . . further eroding your sense of credibility that we discussed earlier. You lack matured perception dawg, how can we trust you to interepret things? You shouldn't even post anywhere

This is the quality of students graduating from SJU, you sound have the demeanor of a 12 year old

singehandedly lower the prestige of your school's graduates brehs :heh:

My first exposure to Big L was white kids parading him around as their underground real rap champion, as well as Hov haters using him to bash Jay, so from the get go I had a soured perspective towards his praise when aside from Put It On his music didn't really match up to the hype imo:manny:

You said your top 5 . . you didn't say your top 5 favorite. Then you proceed to jump into conclusions, furthermore you talk like a 12 year old so :camby:

This is the quality of students graduating from SJU, congratulations on singehandedly lowering the prestige of your school's graduates :heh:

Are you fukking retarded? The statement was why doesn't big L get the credit he deserves. I said he's in my type 5, then you go on a diatribe about my lack of music knowledge because it doesn't fit into YOUR idealistic definition :dead:.

Again, YOU put my name in your mouth not the other way around. Expect to take a shot at me and me not shoot back breh:heh:. Again little Nikka, you started this.

So I'll ask again, keep my dikk out your mouth. Have a goodnight sir.

:heh: the nerve of these little kids.

Big L is an NY staple. Outside of New York, nobody really sees anything cool or respectable culturally from him as a rapper or personality.

8Ball and MJG would be a better example of who is respected in the rest of the country vs. NY to make a comparison of why nobody gives a fukk about Big L.

I call bullshyt. I live in Houston and I'm a fan of Big L.
