Nostalgia is clouding your memory a bit. NBC didnt start regularly having games until after the Superbowl was over, and near the All-Star break....and they had the same damn teams nearly every week. Knicks, Bulls, Suns, Jazz, Spurs. I never saw the Raptors on NBC, nor the Hornets unless it was a 1st rd playoff game.

Lakers? Magic? Sonics? Kings? Rockets?Blazers? Grant Hill Pistons? And Hornets got airtime in the LJ/Zo era

I remember seeing these teams a lot back then (although SAC was more towards the end), not really the others as much, though.

Obviously, LAL too, but not so much in the post-Magic/pre-Shaqobe time.

this is true to the point when they showed the hornets it was an event for me to see them. I only saw Bulls, Suns, Knicks, Magic, Lakers, Celtics (sherman doughlass) and Jazz.

Sonics, ok....in moderation. They never showed them much though until they made that run after the Finals.

LJ.Zo era.....I dont recall seeing many if any regular season Hornets games on NBC.

Rockets - ok
Lakers - not until later when they got Shaq/Kobe
Grant Hill Pistons - dont remember them being on NBC much either.

Yeah our memories just seem better but honestly they showed the same teams and not that many games. I think the most cames came on TBB/TNT?

NBC had mutliple games though depending on what coast you lived on. Pacers played the Magic and Hornets a couple on NBC I still got those vintage VHS tapes laying around. But you Left Coast dudes definitely got the short end of the stick with weekly Spurs/Jazz games.
