I think the entire jackson family dealt with colorism.
We try our hardest not to see it as a big deal today but it was a heavy issue not too long ago in the black community where it was perceived that a person with lighter skin got better benefits. And all kinds of black folks from the mud wanted to attain that. It is what it is.
And it's an open secret now but it's still pervasive in our community and is not going anywhere because of the persistence of global white supremacy.
We may try to fight it in our own little way but its like trying to hold a beach ball under water. We divert our attention somewhere else just for a second and the beach ball will come rearing its head above water but in an instance.

Mike relationship with him was prolly a double edged sword.
You got a dude who’s a fukked up father and at the same time the greatest celebrity coach and mentor of all time prolly. Taught him everything about discipline and dedication to the craft which was a major reason to his success.
How do you show appreciation to someone who gave you everything and ruined your life at the same time.....had to be hella complicated

It is amazing to see how younger generations are more protective of Michael now, than older generations who used to roast him back in the day.
I remember being a lil' one when Michael sat for a rare interview on 20/20. The whole talk in school the next day was over how feminine his way of speaking had become.
Was Michael so clueless to how babies work that he thought he could just tell us those kids were biracial and we would believe it? Its like he assumed people would just take his word for it,because why would a father lie?. Then once he realized that wasn't the case,he switched it up and got a latino boy and said "This one will throw them off
