I'm not a black woman so I wouldn't know. BTW, I don't think it's a black woman thing, I think it's a woman thing. How many women do you know that are 100% independent and are not relying on their family, ailmony, child support or some gender equity policy to supplement their income? I'll take it a step further, the only reason why a lot of white women aren't seen as welfare abusers is because they're still dependent on their white husbands which oddly isn't considered a form of social assistance by some peoples standards .

I recall that it was 38% black, 37% white, 18% hispanic and the rest was made up of Asians/Other.
OPu then have to take into consideration that blacks are only 13% of the population while whites are around 65% when looking at those welfare numbers.
