Simple. Hispanic is not a race. There are black, white, mestizo, asian, mulatto etc Hispanics. How are there black people in the US? There ancestors arrived from Africa, same shyt with black people in Latin America. Hispanic is a classification that only exist in the US. You think people in Latin America go around saying they are Hispanic?I still don't understand how a person can be a black Hispanic or a white Hispanic. They basing that on the color of your skin? Who gives a shyt anyway?

But if you wanna be technical, everybody in this world is mixed. Almost every Black person has some White in them along the way. Doesn't make them not Black. Alot of Latinos are mixed, but alot of them arent. Hell, the original Latin people were White.
I just want to know how they determine that tho. If a white Hispanic and a black Hispanic have a child what is the baby? Honestly I just think classifying people is a waste of time because most people are mixed... whether they know it or not. Most Latinos are mixed and its almost impossible to classify them. My family refuses to check the box for white or black Hispanic because we believe its just a bunch of racist bullshyt.
For example, one of my aunts has green eyes, pale skin, and blonde hair and my other aunt is dark complected. We don't call one of them white and the other black. They are just latina to us.

Green Eyes, Plae Skin, Blonde Hair? Gotdammit if that ain't a White person to me I don't know what is. You may not want to call them White, but they are white. It's not racist, it's just facts. Cameron Diaz is Cuban, is she not white
She fits in many of these categories. But because of what she looks like, she is white? Sounds like the racist white folks of the old days have embedded their messages so deep that some of us don't realize we are inadvertently assimilating to their train of thought. The following definitions apply to the 2000 census only.[12]
"White. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa. It includes people who indicate their race as "White" or report entries such as Irish, German, Scottish, Italian, Near Easterner, Arab, or Polish.[12]
"Black or African American. A person having origins in any of the Black racial groups of Africa. It includes people who indicate their race as 'Black, African Am.' or provide written entries such as Kenyan, Nigerian, or Haitian."[12]
"American Indian and Alaska Native. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America (including Central America) and who maintain tribal affiliation or community attachment."[12]
"Asian. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of the Far East, Southeast Asia, or the Indian subcontinent including, for example, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippine Islands, Thailand, and Vietnam. It includes 'Asian Indian,' 'Chinese', 'Filipino', 'Korean', 'Japanese', 'Vietnamese', and 'Other Asian'."[12]
"Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander. A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands. It includes people who indicate their race as 'Native Hawaiian', 'Guamanian or Chamorro', 'Samoan', and 'Other Pacific Islander'."[12]
"Some other race. Includes all other responses not included in the 'White', 'Black or African American', 'American Indian and Alaska Native', 'Asian' and 'Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander' race categories described above. Respondents providing write-in entries such as multiracial, mixed, interracial, We-Sort, or a Hispanic/Latino group (for example, Mexican, Puerto Rican, or Cuban) in the "Some other race" category are included here."[12]
"Two or more races. People may have chosen to provide two or more races either by checking two or more race response check boxes, by providing multiple write-in responses, or by some combination of check boxes and write-in responses."[12]
No she is not! Some of her ancestors are Indios, some are Spanish, African, French.... I could go on! She has a multiracial background.
How far along though?
You gotta understand, race is categorized by your phenotype not your genes. Especially in today's society.
This is where I agree with you. People with multiracial backgrounds shouldn't be forced into one racial category. Mixed race should be an option on the US Census. Its ridiculous that its not there already.
*sigh* That's sad.
