the problem is the actors they find to play him are usually maybe in decent shape. it does create a weird dichotomy, where Bruce looks like a normal person, but Batman looks like some super-brolic dude

I will say this is an issue with many superheroes though. they're always super cut-up with their costume on. in real life, very few people, including professional athletes, are built like that

Not all, but why would that even be far fetched? The overwhelming majority of em are peak humans and above. Of course the ones that are considered superhuman would be fukking ripped, considering that their genetics are obviously far superior.
