Why do studios insist on redoing origin stories for comic book movies

at some point these major comic characters just have to be common knowledge. ive never ever read a comic and i know every major character's altar ego and origin story.

the new superman being an origin story is absolutely fukkin ridiculous.

we saw spiderman 10 years ago

we know the superman story

just tell a fresh story without the gettin powers shyt

if ya wanna change up the universe from the previous moives just give a quick overview of the new setup

all these stories to choose from... i will never pay to see spiderman or superman learn how to use their powers

Only reason to do an origin story is if the tone and structure of the movie is completely different from the previous movies (IE Batman). Otherwise, it's just laziness.

thats why they make a new super hero movie but it doesn't mean it has to be an origins movie. i mean spiderman especially didn't need an origins movie since the last spiderman origins movie is only ten years old. it aint like it was made in the late 80s like batman. this shyt is lame

We know this already. The question is.. Do they always(mainly spiderman) have to be origin movies? We don't have to see the origin of Spiderman or Superman anymore. We need new stories for these characters. Seems like they were headed down the right path waaayyy back in Superman 2 when he fought those three powerful dudes from his homeworld. fukk reboots
