Why do studios insist on redoing origin stories for comic book movies

all these stories to choose from... i will never pay to see spiderman or superman learn how to use their powers

Just throw Spidey on screen and have him start kickin' ass, and get a couple of real villians.. This ain't rocket science. Honestly how many times do we have to see him get bit by the spider again along with his Uncle Ben bringing shyt to a halt?

Hulk was rebooted to tie into the new Avengers movie storyline. Spidey was rebooted because Sony didn't want the rights to revert back to Marvel if they didn't make a new one.

I really want to see either a Darkness or Witchblade movie from Top Cow...if done right, that's gonna be big. They gotta STAY true to the how it was in the comics..especially for the Darkness. Jackie was a heartless nygga...fukking bytches, killing anyone his uncle told him to do, being loyal to his child hood homegirl despite him being oblivious to her being in love with him, etc....good shyt.
