Why do Strippers have to wipe down the pole?

I think its to get better grip, I seen male break dancers do the same thing on the NY Subway before their performance.

They wipe it down with alcohol to maintain a solid grip....

I don't think they wear oils @RoyalQ.... I think it's just a natural secretion of oil in their sweat....Body oils are counterproductive for maintaining contact with the pole....

Because there are a lot of germs, they grind on the poll, then grind on some loser and back to the poll. You have to clean that for the next time. I know this because I go to strip club every day

I took pole dancing lessons at the gym ... the go to accessories for class were: a spray bottle of alcohol, heels, and as little clothes as possible.


Skin adheres to the pole better than clothing


Btw: I sucked. I am not graceful or limber
