Why do shows on FX and AMC allow the word "$hit" but not "f*ck"??

in theory, but its really bullshyt. cuz, shows like the walking dead get HUUUUGGGGEEE ratings. and I highly doubt that would change if they started to say fukk on there. sponsors will still support shows that generate ratings regardless.

and lets be reality, shyt and fukk are both curse words, so why is one worse than the other?

There is this show called "Damages" where they didn't curse for the first three seasons. For some reason they started cursing in the 4th season using the F word. I stopped watching. A lot of the times writers use profanity as a crutch and that shyt gets played out really fast. It lowers the intelligence of the script. I'm using "Damages" as my only example.

its ridiculous especially when you factor in Euro shows say all the curses on network. id wager to bet "fukk" is one of the most spoken words in the english language. you see situations on shows and think "there's no chance he wouldn't say fukk there." It would make shows more believable in that sense.

u know whats the worst? when someone accidently drops a fukk on cable and the reporters gotta act all offended as if that's the worst thing to have ever happened? it just insults my intelligence. as if they weren't just off camera screaming "fukk"t he entire time.
