yep same here.

the mufukkas dense. our fullback and kick off returners was a slightly thinner mark hunt but ran a fukking 4.6. he scored off the kick off every other game. it was like dudes didnt want to tackle his big ass. our tight end / DE was Tongan, and unusually tall for a tongan. also scored every game. middle line backer was Samoan. fullbacks would hit the hole and get de-cleated. I got hit by that nikka in practice, I dont even know why I dipped like my 150 pound ass was gonna truck him, shoulda juked, well my crown hit his facemask and I heard ringing for like 30 min. The tongan tight end actually had UCLA pull up to the school. but he fukked up, while coach toledo was waiting for him in our coachs office, he was on the quad whooping on an ese, then another cut him the arm with a blade. fight stops.....he walks into coaches office leaking. lets just say UCLA never called again.

the middle line backer got offers too from smaller schools like Toledo, Northwestern, but the nikka did HORRIBLE on his SATs. dumber than a bag of hammers. :dead:

but yea all of our islanders were not only starters they were stars. crazy strength and speed.

I always tell this story talking about Polynesians, but there was a high school in Inglewood that sucked at football. Mostly Mexicans at that point. One year a new coach sees these Tongans walking around campus, there was maybe just 20 Tongan boys in the entire school of 2000 kids, but he gets most of them to join the football team. Some of them had come from a rugby background but I think most had never even played football before. They immediately take half the starting spots on the team - not just O-line and D-line but running back, linebackers, even the starting QB was this 245 pound mobile motherfukker. By their 2nd year on the team school went from 2-8 to 8-2 it was crazy how good they were. Every Tongan who came in was 30 lbs heavier than the guy he took his position from, one of the o-line had to have gone 330.
