Why do people try to justify police violence and excessive force against black people?

I'm sick of hearing it..

"Obey the law and cops won't beat you up or kill you"
"Keep your hands to yourself and you'll stay alive"

Whenever a black person is mauled by cops...I can expect these people to show up like clockwork.

Funny how the response is not the same way when the person at the other end of the gun/night stick ISNT black...

This is the subtle way of saying black folks deserve to be beaten and/or die at the hands of cops.

From what I can tell, the root doesn't care about police brutality evolving non-blacks, so you really don't see anybody's opinions on those cases in general to really perform an accurate analysis on how anybody responds to them in comparison to cases only evolving blacks, just saying. Also, how did you come to the conclusion that "one should comply with police authority" really means, "Blacks deserve to be beaten by hands of the cops"? Honestly, I see zero connection between both of those propositions imo.

They have too because they live by a certain belief:

1. This is a nation created by and for white people. Everyone else should pay homage to them for all they've progressed this world. White Supremacy.

2. Decades of propaganda that black people, 99% of us are violent and criminal. Couple that with them projecting their nature to us that we want to pay them back for slavery.

3. Admitting black people are systemically oppressed makes all their right wing talking points void. It's like being a fighter, considered the champ, and learning your team drugged all your opponents giving you an advantage.

The last one is a big one, it hits them in the gut! For them to think for a second black people aren't lazy. That were as intelligent as them. That we're where we are because the system is cheating for them.........THEY WOULD COMMIT THAT FIRST.

I've seen this uttered by whites, non whites, and blacks.

The police and the justice system has an infallible quality to certain people where they think it can't be wrong.

Compare a situation where a white male is beat by police to that of a black male being beat by police.

Shyt man...it already happened. A young white college dude was put in a chokehold by a white cop. That cop was fired the next day.

Freddie gray got his neck broke in a chokehold by cops...chances are those cops will not be charged with anything. And will return to the force.

Why?

1. white privilege
2. White supremacy embedding the notion that "white is right" according to the law and it's enforcers...The police.
3. A deep seated hatred of black people produced by white supremacy
4. The absolute lack of worth towards black life from society at large.

Like I'm just trying to put the young generation onto game before you learn it the hard way.

Now I'm not saying that police lives don't matter...or all lives don't matter. They do. But there hasn't been a time when police lives haven't mattered.

Why should we respect them when they don't respect us? Man...cops scare me actually...especially the nypd. Like I see them and I keep my distance and avoid interacting with them.
