Too many guest stars, reusing same plots, homer dumb as shyt, and the writing is predictable. You know see the simpsons as a family but just characters in this show.

For a while it was total ass but its been going for 20+ seasons. Every season usually has 1-2 gems in it. Lisa and Whale, Moe Dates a liitle Person, The Halloween special where Lisa is scared.

this. i still think Simpsons has some good shyt but its initial charm was that it was edgy and over the years shows like South Park & Family Guy took edginess to a whole different level and effectively rendered The Simpsons vanilla.

i mean it might still be funny, but it doesn't have the same sentimental value as a smart and funny blue collar family sitcom that it once had.

now it's just kind of cheap laughs without any emotional attachment or consistency in the characters.
