Been saying this for years. Dude sucks as a singer. He needs to thank andre3000 for saving his career. Ordinary people :camby:

I’m telling you, I’ve had this debate with a few females and I kid you not ALL of them called it “Everyday people”

I had to correct them and I don’t even like this dude - I do believe its chic to be a fan of his, like they’re being pressured into it :francis:

John Legend is really pop R&B but that 1st albun still bangs and is a personal classic. Other than that he's had his moments but trash is pushing it. He's mediocre but again he's not competing with anyone really. He has pop R&B pretty much all to himself outside of Usher and even he's kind of reverted back to the Quiet Storm.

I guess I'm the only one in here who likes "Save Room" and "Number One"...
I knew it was over when I first heard this song

No one can convince me that this song doesn't sound like it was lifted from a car commercial advertising trunk space featuring a white couple driving down Times Square in the afternoon/early evening. :hhh:

:laff: seriously?? Wow.

And can't take that song seriously. Was chilling with my peoples and we seen two women singing that song together on the bus and fukk it up yet sound more lively than John legend. Think they were on drugs because right after that, they started fighting out of nowhere. :laff: one of their boyfriends was so embarrassed sitting in between the whole time between them singing and fighting that he had to take his girl off the bus. This was back in 2006. shyt still cracks me up. Between that and seeing John legends cd sitting in the gutter on the street outside the job a few years after that. :laff: it looks like it was sitting there for a minute. So quite sure theres folks who aren't too thrilled about him or fronting like they like his shyt.

Also something about him screams safe negroz Can’t put my finger on it tho cuz he seems pro black or at the very least anti racism
This x100,000,000

A popular black man who is also a safe negro who won’t act ‘black’ is like a unicorn/gold in the eyes of a powerful white (Jew) men who control the entertainment industry.

Back when Ye popped he was POPULAR but not controversial at all, and this dude was his safe soulful calm negro sidekick.

This is chess.

By pushing whatever bland and soft he creates they achieve 2 things:

1. They can’t be accused of racism
2. Real black artists with genuinely soulful music get drowned out by basically white, safe music

Win-win

Sure he’ll tweet that Trump is racist but that barely counts, we all do that and all is “all people regardless of race”.

He’s not pro-actively trying to be a c00n. But he realized that the money is in pop soft music and suddenly he’s the face of R&B (thanks to every possible white person in charge)

He’s like a black MTV/Complex reporter: they are rare af and their main quality is.. not acting too black while still appearing black
