did they lower the monster when they installed those seats? Maybe its just because im older but the wall didnt look as high as I remembered it to be.
Never been to Fenway, but I can confirm that Wrigley is a dump.
Troughs to piss in, the outfield is all bleacher seats and has the feel of a grungy, sweaty bar.
Tradition is cool and all, but the Cubs need a new stadium.
Even Peter Gammons thinks that stadium is trash.
Take away the nostalgia, and the place is a fukking dump. I have been there over 200 times, and I never ever want to step foot in that shythole again.
I mean its a baseball stadium. They cram 40,000 people into one spot to drink beer and make a mess. I'm not expecting the Ritz.
I thought it was a cool place to watch a game.
I moved down to Pittsburgh, Pa after Boston area, and I felt the same way you did until I got to go to several games at PNC park, and realized that the Red Sox have been trolling the fukk out of us with that old musty park.
It's all it is though. It just looks old whereas Yankee Stadium looks new. One looks like Six Flags. The other looks like the Cyclone at Coney Island.
There's shyt about Fenway that I absolutely love. Monster seats are some of the best seats in baseball. Glad I got to sit there for a night. Fans other than the fact that they were Red Sox fans were cool too. Location is cool too, though I miss the Store24 they had on Comm Ave. Got me through so many cold all-nighters.
Some of those seats a little farther back suck so much. They just do.
