nah it's not that complicated breh, I've lived in different states and they all hate New York and New Yorkers

they assume all New Yorkers are arrogant and they think that New Yorkers think they're better than everyone else

and some are just flat out jealous of New Yorkers

people not from NY might like our rappers and entertainers, but in general no

New Yorkers are the most hated in America
