No snitching for example. For the most part it has become the gospel in the black community. Although it doesn't benefit anyone other than the people who corrupt and destroy the community. It has been adopted by damn near everyone and is prolly the single most important thing to denounce in hip hop.

Yes police officers kill innocent people but not at the rate bangers do. Why are hood people so against, what they actually worship(power, money & immunity).

I remember when Obama first ran for office I ask my cousin(a hood nikka) are you voting for Obama? He told me"Na! He don't care about the underworld."
:wtf: I thought to my self, he shoots people and sells drugs. Whatever help he did offer you would be against it anyways.

I'm thinking a fair amount of hood people or people from the hood use food stamps, section 8 and whatever else is available to them. Yet they hate the government so bad. Why?But they love and respect the notion of a real nikka getting his in the street. Which ultimately means criminal activity.

What's the difference between hood people who terrorize the community and politicians who could careless about the black community? What's the difference between that cop that got off for shooting down an innocent boy dressed like a thug. And the neighborhood kingpin who is responsible for multiple murders, robberies and drug trafficking? Why is that dealer more respected than a legit police officer, teacher, mentor etc.?

Seems to me, based on what I know of "the game" most of these nikkas hold republican views. But side with democrat in order to abuse certain privledges set in place.

i guess identity. they are more tolerant and even capable of vicarious joy when someone they can more readily identify with is making moves.

i was just looking at these tea partyers on youtube who were practically falling in love with ted cruz. they asked this lady about obama, and she said he was an illegal president from kenya or whatever, but she tried to say that ted cruz being canadian should not keep him from being president.

when people could care less about intellectual honesty, tribalism and provincialism can run wild

I mean the shyt goes both ways I have worked with poor whites who got against their own interests.

And they sound just as confusing talking about how bush was a great president as my cousins did about why he didn't vote for Obama. It's just that I careless of them(whites)han my own family and community.

i guess identity. they are more tolerant and even capable of vicarious joy when someone they can more readily identify with is making moves.
That makes perfect sense.

this thread has bias written all over it
Towards who?

I know there are blacks who need assistance and are upstanding well to-do citizens. Who follow these rules outta survival.

And I also know there are those who so-called live and die by these rules also. I just ask a question.

The amount of off-base assumptions and generalizations in the OP is :beli:

Sounds like the type of shyt a Republican would say while whining about not getting black votes
Off base about what? I posted an actual conversation I had with a family member.

Please explain without putting words in my mouth I didn't say? Tell me what I said that's completely false.

Or are you one of those people who say we shouldn't talk about violence in the hood cause its such a small minority?

Well when damn near half the people in your family are from the hood and adopt these views in life it hits closer to home . Cause although I don't agree with how they feel I still love my fam and I will continue to critique and criticize their faults as I would like them to do to me.

You're making your dumbass cousin (who "shoots people and sells drugs") a representative of the black community and assuming that most people in the hood are like him.

It's not true. Everybody has their own opinion, but generally in the US white people are more anti-government that black people. If you start asking about stuff like universal healthcare, minorities are more likely to support it.

the evils of truth, and love
So you think I'm bias in favor of officers?
Police killed 587 people. Lets just say for the sake of argument that they all were innocent.

500 in Chicago alone. Really didnt wanna use the chi as an example but that's the only thing that kept popping up.

i think you are bias in favor of ignorance, if you really think cops kill less than whoever else in america then whatever thats what you think

white men started gangster culture in america and you think police agents are the antagonists? logical fallacy

For one, I think you're painting "the black community" with too broad a brush. Your very first paragraph you talk about "not snitching," but that doesn't even really apply outside of the underclass, and within the criminal subculture. It's not gospel in the black community as a whole.

It's not as if regular dudes in the hood are spelling out these philosophical arguments in their head about morals and liberty. Those values you speak of are not based on philosophical inquiry or any moral imperative. They're reactive strategies born out of extreme living conditions. To use your first example of not snitching, that's born out of distrust of the police who historically have never had the best interest of poor black people in mind as well as the desire to avoid the blowback consequences of snitching, such as the people you snitched on getting revenge on you in the form of physical retaliation or being shamed as a snitch. There wasn't some townhall debate where people decided not snitching was a sound moral philosophy. It's not that hard to figure out.

I fully explained that not everyone is like my cousin who is a dumbass. And I ask you not to put words in my mouth, which you did. I never said most.

The last paragraph has a lot to do with race, especially today. Which I also addressed earlier in this thread.

I'm speeking on poor black people who live by a code. And I'm asking a question about why how their way of life looks up to what keeps them down. And why they dislike others who seemingly follow a similar code.

It seems NZA and The next guy gave the best answers. It seems like the only thing you wanna do is admit its a problem in other races, other races I don't care about.

Why would you let your brother call you a fakkit but fight a stranger that calls you one in public.
