@Ed MOTHERfukkING G is always complaining about other people's comics knowledge but I'm pretty sure he just mixed up Bendis with Millar and Quesada all in the same post, lol.
Anyways, let's see about Bendis:
- No respect for continuity, story or character, whatsoever, not even continuity he himself created (such as changing which member of the Illuminati held which Infinity gem, or every Secret Invasion clue/red herring he never touched on again)
- Putting his team books full of characters that don't need to be there, and then have them do nothing (his entire Avengers run)
- Bendis-speak (aka 'I said something.' 'You said something?' 'I did.' 'Well, what did you say?' 'Something about Tony.' 'Something about Tony?' 'Yeah, that he's wrong.' 'Wait, Tony's wrong?' 'Yes, he is.')
- Has everyone either talk like Spider-Man, or a really, really generic personality-less version of themselves.
- Latching onto characters popularized by others, then completely misuse them because he doesn't understand why they work or flat out has no use for them... again (The Hood, The Sentry, Ellis' Thunderbolts run)
- Wrote the worst Dr Doom dialog ever ('You're a fat piece of furniture I may need for trade! So shut your cow mouth or I'll remove your face by hand before I stop your whore's heart!')
- Obvious use of ghost writers (Stuart Immonen at least co-wrote every Bendis issue he also did art for)
There's probably more but this about sums up most of it. I mostly used examples from his Avengers-era because that's when he was at his worst, but make no mistake, he still does all of this.
