I've worked in a factory, I've wfh as a knowledge based worked. Physical labor is 1000xs easier than mental labor. It's not even close. Anything physical is easier than mental.
:mjlol: nikka shut up

You sound like my mom when she would swear up and down she exhausted cuz of her 8 hour work day on the computer :mjlol:

Aaaand you've clearly never been a professional software engineer/data scientist/actuary/any career that requires you to spend your day solving abstract poorly defined problems in a two week time limit for a living. And let's not forget you always have to stay current and relevant in your skillset and job interviews involve months of preparation where you spend 4 hours being grilled on solving abstract problems that would probably take you a month to figure out in 50 mins.

Because my boomer aunties and uncles were able to afford a house, a car and family working at The Good Guys back then. For you youngins, The Good Guys was the Best Buy of the 80s.

and it was probably paid off in 5 yrs.

Post war boom was a once in a lifetime event. America was untouched physically excpet for Pearl Harbor while other countries were in ruins. Just having your factories intact was a huge advantage.

No cheap imported labor to water wages down and no mass imports to compete with domestic brands.
