see, where I stayed at, it was a shyt ton of east africans and a shyt ton of african americans. Now, parents were strict, but what they didn't know was that they kids didn't giva fucc and thought they were angels. They would judge other east african parents kids because they would see them thuggin (even though their parents didn't know). And they would come up with a conclusion that all african americans were negative influences.

east africans tend to stay to themselves if there's a community of them around, i wouldn't say that they look down on regular AA nikkas any more than anyone else does

Yea, because African Americans in America are mostly west africans.

And the crazy thing is, they would beef at the bus stop like "We ain't african, we are AFRICAN UH-MER-ICAN", the ignorance was crazy where I stayed, and the only way some East africans believed they could make friends was to act like them, which is why their parents didn't like African Americans, because they seen the influence they were having on other kids. Master P had the east africans talkin bout, no limit sawa n shiet. :whew:

At the beginning of mean streets
this is true, I'm east african, it's because when they come to this country, they stay in low income housing and try to raise children to be educated individuals, but the african americans are bad influences, so they don't want their kids to hang out with them. Trill ish...When I stayed in the projects, it was constant beef between east africans and african americans.

:ohhh:Damn I ain't know it was that serious.

All the stereotypes they see and hear about. All the shyt the see on the news. I'm not east african but I'm not african american. A lot of them feel like yall have no culture or don't value culture or education. They see black kids running the streets and etc. Of course it's not true, their just being shook and ignorant. When they first move out here it's usually to the hood and sometimes they even catch beef with African Americans and it leaves a bad taste in their mouths so they tell their children to stay away and not be like "them".
