If you are of African stock you have every right to claim anything your people did at any point in time. white kids take pride in all aspects of europe, even taking the summer off to tour the place and no one bats an eye lid.
Modern day Egyptians are nothing like the original inhabitants..the entire region not just Egypt was mostly cleansed of Africans.

Ancient Egpypt was one of Africa's largest civilization, when it fell many spread out throughout of the continent to create othe ethnic groups. Ewe people (Togo) trace their lineage to Ancient Egypt, and this is taught to this day.
