I don’t like F&L nearly as much as I did in 2006
It really isn’t that good I listened to it again last night there are some unbearable hooks on it.

Also it never hit me how much he was biting Jay Z ad libs, flow, intonation on that album it’s call out worthy for un-originality.

Albums like RD and IWW got 4 mics off drop and F&L is nowhere near them.

Lupe's nerd ass fans (I'm a huge fan, just not a nerd fans) tried to put this man in a box since Kick, Push

Lupe could've been BOB but the business was bad

This sounds EXACTLY like a Lupe album cut

I know some Lupe super fans telling me he is the GOAT and this and that... Some tried to tell me better than Nas lol, they go way overboard when rating him and I am a fan myself as you are but his nerd fans as you said are up there with the worst.

He was already a fringe star (not a diss, he's one of the best to ever do it) and the Atlantic/Lasers saga killed the chance to be a legit one.
Creating strange concept albums of long songs is never gonna lead you to mainstream success.
Tetsuo and Youth and Drogas Wave are great albums but the average person is never gonna understand the point of them.
Those albums are long after his mainstream ship sailed. His first 2 albums had success doing this and Kendrick has made a career out of it.

Besides the fact he’s released many dud albums after he dropped The Cool?

Lasers was his chance to hit mainstream and dropped a weed plate

I’m a fan but he’s very hit or miss musically
He's only really released one dud album: Drogas Light.

Lasers was panned but its by far his most politically clear and overt album (up until that point), plus it had his best selling singles on it.

Since then he's had pretty solid releases.

His label, Atlantic Records, was screwing him over.
I thought we knew this already.

-Signing to Atlantic because he thought Jay was going there. This is one of the biggest miscalculations because it led to a delayed album (Lasers) and him being musically stagnant after releasing the classic known as The Cool. Jay would go on to Def Jam (camel moves).

Jay has always been with Def Jam, why would that change?

Words I never said hurt him. He tried to drop a fight the power record dissing Obama when people didn't wanna hear it
People don’t care about that there’s a bunch of rappers that are Trump supporters now and that hasn’t doomed their careers. :dead:
