50 had beef with Big Pun back in the days and Pun made a diss towards him for the diss on How To Rob. always thought it somewhat stemmed from that.

Off top I knew that was Unit dis.This was before piggy bank came out btw. So that beef had to be brewing. I always thought it had something to do with 50 dissing the Latin Kings, but Idk if Joe down with them like that.
Didn’t really have to do with that. 50 was just on a rampage against any heavyweight New York artist at the time. 50 cent was just looking for a reason to beef because he knew it brought promo. Also anybody that aligned with Ja Rule was in the line of fire. The New York New York song was the catalyst of his beef with Joe and Kiss

I heard different bro ... some music insider that was there wen fat joe made that remark at the award show said afterwards 50 jumped onstage or something n fat joe was looking around to make sure security was around .... fat joe a real cat but I highly doubt 50 scared at all ...
