you make beats homie?

Yep. started back in 2009, but stopped around 2012 which is when the Coli came about and I started fukking with ya'll nikkas. :blessed:

That's the only beat I got uploaded on the net. Made that beat back in 2010, but didn't record that track until 2013. I think you've heard this song before though.

I started making beats because it was the natural progression for me from composing on my old ass Yamaha PSR-550 with the floppy disk :krs:

I was about 12, and my dad got me a computer with Fruityloops 3 on it, and I started from there. I always wanted to compose and make instrumentals to pioneer a sound one day that would fuel an era. I rapped at the time, but I've always loved being a musician and a producer far more. I'm obsessed with sound and how it affects us, and always had an appreciation for music and art in general. Hip Hop was just the piece that resonated most at the time.

In 2001, and seeing the Neptunes win producer of the year at source awards. Finding out they were the minds behind the records I loved at the time made me interested in producing.

I always loved music. I would make-up/write songs ever since I was like 7.
I was in band at school, and I would beatbox, and I had melodies in my head
that I would just do nothing with.

I saw this at the video game store, and copped it for $20.

Bet $20 I ever spent. I've been hooked ever since.

^^^ this was godsend to me at that time )) I wish I had something like Ableton back in that day, oh my goodness the things I would be able to accomplish! MTVMGenerator had great concept, I used to be a master at the controls, ultra fast workflow, knew what I wanted to get done. I'd sample little pieces of music which was like 6 seconds that ate about 3/4s of the entire memory card lol. Ultra low quality in-game samples, cheesy ass sound library, those things never bothered me cause I've never made any type of music. It says, "possibly the coolest thing that will ever be released for the ps", it was to me back in the day.

For me, curiosity killed the cat. Every time I heard a song that made me feel a certain way, I was eager to find out how the track was put together, so I could see what it was that made me feel that way. During my quest, my cousin introduced me to FL Studio. The rest is history.
