Pac wasn't a stan of anyone, if anything Pac is the most stanned rapper
That's the way I see.If anything, Nas looked up to Pac.
Nas is one of those Afrocentric type of dudes.
Pac was that.He was born into the movement.Alll the people Nas read about like Assata Shakur...Geronimo Prat....Lumumba Shakur....Afeni etc etc...
Pac was raised and schooled by them.
That was Pac through and through. His mother was fighting for her life while she was pregnant with Pac.Facing 300 years in prison, she beat the case WITHOUT HAVING ANY LAW EXPERIENCE.She was held in the highest regard within the Black Panther Movement....The The Briar Patch:The Trial Of The Panther 21.
Nas is all on that revolutionary kick. He's a great lyricist, arguably the best of all time, but he didn't have the boldness or the "fire" that Pac had.Pac was the embodiment of that revolutionary shyt.He went through it....didn't have to read it in a book in order to be able to talk about it.
I think that's what Pac meant by the " this lil nikka think he live like me" line
I definitely think there was a mutual admiration there, but I'd be willing to bet that Nas respected Pac more than Pac respected Nas
